Good morning,
Here I am finally at the first version of the Harlem Blade translation.
You will notice that the file has a password, the reason is that I would like you to read the readme.txt file before applying the patch.
I created two new categories on the site: download and translation notes
The first will be reserved for the various versions of the translation that will eventually be released.
The second is related to the notes on the translation of the game, there will be enough so it is likely that the next posts on the site will be exclusively dedicated to it.

A few brief notes on what has been translated:

-All game texts, dialogues, epilogues and narrative choices

What has not been translated:

-The game menus (I plan to do it soon)
-The ingame manual
-Many signs around the world of Mayplease

What I will do from now on will be to make some translation notes about the game, to translate the paper guide of the game step by step.
The patch for the game was made with Pachy98 (https://46okumen.com/pachy98/)
Special thanks go to user hollowaytype, who helped me better understand the structure of a game for Nec PC-98.
I repeat that if my work is not liked by Giga (owner of all the copyright of Harlem Blade) I will remove the patch on their indication.

Download the game below, enjoy!

    Hi,
For the moment I’m focus to translate the guide and walkthrough, after that maybe I’ll try.
As I said in some previous post, the Windows Edition is a cheap conversion, It works only until Windows XP, only support fullscreen, very low resolution (640×480) and dubbing is poor.
That’s why I choose to convert the PC-98 version, in order to use an emulator an every Windows version.

Jenbrother, I was able to run the windows version on a windows 10 64bit machine using a program called Winevdm, no Windows XP VM needed, link available here:

      https://github.com/otya128/winevdm/releases

The advantages of the windows versions compared to the PC-98 are:

      1- It is fully voiced
2- It has better audio quality (CD-DA) compared to the MIDI.

Sure it runs only on fullscreen and the resolution is more or less about the same as the PC-98 version but most games at the time were like that…, I still would still personally consider the Windows version the definitive edition though.

I consider the windows version superior for 2 reasons:

1- All female characters are fully voiced (Better a dub then no dubbing)
2- Audio quality is strictly superior (CD-DA).

I was able to make it work on a modern windows 10 64bit using this WineVDM, it is available below:

It worked just fine.

I mean it’s fine if you prefer the Windows arrange of the music, but the fact that it’s newer and CD-quality doesn’t make it objectively better by default, it doesn’t make the FM Synth or MIDI versions any inferior, they’re just rendering music in their own (very different) way, have all different arrangements to fit those ways, thus each having their own appeal.
